Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Elevated Mixers FAQ page! We’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions from our customers. If you don't see your question listed here, feel free to reach out to us at hello@elevatedmixers.com.

When do they expire?

Once opened we recommend cosuming our products within 4-6 weeks. Unopened, they can stay fresh for up to 5 months past the "best by" date.

You can also freeze the mixers which will allow for safe storage for about 2-3 years. However, there will be some flavor degredation if frozen for a long period of time. Please allow for 1 oz of headspace prior to freezing as liquid will expand.

What does "Cold Pressed" mean?

Cold Pressed is another term for HPP or High Pressure Pasteurization. It is a pasteurization method that uses cold temperatures and high pressure to increase the stability and shelf-life of a beverage. Traditional pasteurization methods use heat to achieve stability. However, heat alters the taste of beverages and makes it impossible to offer a truly fresh tasting product.

What makes HPP great is the ability to offer a stable product without compromising on taste or freshness.

How can I make sure my mixers are properly stored?

Keep an eye on your tracking information to ensure your package is promptly stored in the refrigerator after delivery. Proper storage is crucial for maintaining the quality of your mixers.

Do they need to be refrigerated?

Yes, due to the cold pressed nature of our products they must be refrigerated even before being opened.

Do these have alcohol in them?

No, Elevated Mixers are non-alcoholic cocktail mixers designed to be mixed with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Why have we chosen to use PET plastic versus other packaging materials?

Because of the high pressure environment that our bottles are put under, during the HPP process, we must use a rigid-enough material. 87,000 PSI of pressure makes it difficult to use glass, aluminum or paper; so we must currently use plastics. We have chosen PET plastic due to its environmental advantages, such as being more recyclable compared to other plastics.

Are Elevated Mixers perishable?

Yes, our mixers are perishable and should be refrigerated upon arrival. They are made with fresh, organic ingredients, so it’s essential to keep them cold to maintain their quality and flavor.

When do you ship orders?

We ship orders every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday via UPS. If a UPS-observed holiday falls on one of these days, your order will ship the next available business day. For example, if Labor Day falls on Monday, your order will ship on Tuesday.

How are the mixers shipped?

Our mixers are shipped with insulation, gel ice packs, and dry ice during warmer months to keep them cool. However, it's not uncommon for the ice packs to arrive melted, especially if your order is in transit for a couple of days. Rest assured, the mixers can withstand some heat exposure within standard shipping timelines.

What should I do if my package is delayed?

If your package took longer than 4 days to arrive from the shipping confirmation date, please reach out to us at hello@elevatedmixers.com, and we’ll help make sure your mixers are still in good condition.

What if my mixers arrived frozen or leaking?

Sometimes, the dry ice may freeze the mixers, causing the liquid to expand and leak once thawed. If this happens, please contact us at hello@elevatedmixers.com so we can assist you.

What if my ice packs are punctured or leaking?

Though we take great care in packaging, there is a small chance the gel ice packs may become punctured in transit. Don’t worry—the gel inside is non-toxic. Simply wash it off the bottles with soap and water, and your mixers will be safe to enjoy!

What are the signs of spoilage?

Be on the lookout for:

  • Hissing or fizzing sounds when opening a bottle
  • Bulging caps or bottles with unusually high pressure buildup

If you notice any of these signs, please do not consume the product and contact us for assistance.

Does the Classic Sour always froth?

Yes, our Classic Sour contains a frothing agent, so it’s completely normal for this product to froth when shaken. No need to worry—it’s part of the experience!

What is the HPP process, and why do some bottles look dented?

We use High-Pressure Processing (HPP) to extend the shelf life of our mixers while maintaining their freshness. This process involves applying intense pressure, which can sometimes cause bottles to appear slightly concave or "dented." This is normal and does not affect the quality or taste of the mixers inside.

What if my package was damaged in transit?

Though rare, packages can sometimes be damaged during shipping. If your order arrives damaged, please email us athello@elevatedmixers.com, and we’ll take care of it.
